Tithü

Tithü

This exhibit, Tithü, presents new work by John Anderson. There are eight 3D animations and fifty-seven 2D abstractions from them that are presented on five "floors" of exhibition space.

The generative digitworks here present Hopi Katsinam within an interpretive context as ancient petroglyphs for the animations and abstractions.

Katsinam are multifaceted spiritual beings that are present in the Hopi’s everyday life, ceremonies, and rituals, and also, in their art form called Tithü.
